I celebrated my 19th year of existence this Wednesday just gone and to confirm how popular I really am, a whole FOUR friends showed up! Yay? I think not =/ but kudos for them turning up though
It started off with a lovely picnic in the park where much sugary and, quite possibly, unnatural food and drink was consumed(Iceland, y'see)which was followed by quite a few hours of on/off frisbee. I must confess that I love playing this...I may not be good, but that's not the point
The cinema was next on the agenda and I chose G.I. Joe. Overall I thought it was a pretty good film. There were many scenes in it that screamed out references to other films/games however, with the evil underwater lair reminding all of us of Rapture from Bioshock. A really good thing about the film was the battles in the last third or so of the film; instead of the usual ground combat or aerial dogfights the vast majority of it was completely underwater. With many one-man submarine craft effectively imitating what you would expect to see high in the sky. I would certainly go see it again if it wasn't for the dozens of other films out now or very soon that I really want to see (Inglorious Bastards, Aliens in the Attic, The Proposal, Taking of Pelham 123...)
One more year until I escape the teenage stereotype!
Hope everyone is well and until next time!
